BF Construction Inc. is a fast-paced commercial general contractor seeking a Field Project Manager who thrives on the jobsite and understands how to keep construction moving. Our projects typically include tenant improvements, office buildouts, concrete site work, and exterior upgrades, ranging from $300k–$1M.
This role is focused on jobsite execution, trade coordination, and real-time problem solving. We’re looking for someone with deep hands-on trade experience who has worked in the field and moved into field management. The right candidate knows how the work is actually built, not just managed from the office. We need someone who can identify issues early, coordinate subcontractors effectively, and ensure work is completed to plan and specification.

Responsibilities
- Maintain daily presence on assigned job sites to oversee execution and progress
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and trade sequencing to keep work moving efficiently
- Ensure work areas are ready before crews begin (materials delivered, prior trades complete, inspections approved, and access available)
- Coordinate BF internal crew alongside subcontractors like assigning tasks, confirming daily readiness, and making sure every person on site knows what they’re doing and wh
- Identify constructability issues or field conflicts and initiate solutions quickly
- Lead quality control walkthroughs to catch issues before they become rework — this role is expected to anticipate problems, not just react to them
- Maintain quality control to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and company standards
- Communicate field conditions and progress clearly with leadership and internal project teams
- Support project schedules and maintain forward thinking and lookahead planning.
- Build and maintain one- and two-week lookahead schedules with crew, subs, materials, and inspections must be confirmed and reflected before the week begins
- Help manage multiple active projects across scopes such as TI work, retail buildouts, and site improvements
- Uphold strong jobsite safety, organization, and cleanliness standards
- Document daily field activity, site conditions, and progress through photo uploads — photos must match scheduled work
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience with a strong base in hands-on field or trade work.
- Proven experience working directly in the field with prior trade background or time as a working superintendent is strongly preferred

Strong trade knowledge and field experience
- Ability to read and understand full sets of construction plans
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and sequencing trades
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability-this role is expected to bring solutions, not just surface problems
- Ability to make real-time decisions to keep projects progressing
- Comfortable working with digital scheduling and project management platforms along with experience keeping schedules, tracking tasks, and communicating updates through tech-based tools
- Clear communication with subcontractors, field teams, and internal staff
- Software skills in Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Dropbox
- Experience managing projects from start to finish is preferred
- Prior Superintendent or Field Engineer experience is a strong plus

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
